Hey folks,

This time around I tried something different with the images.  I used an Olympus digital camera (courtesy of work) to capture images at the track -with mixed results......I don't like 'em

Said images were downloaded to a PC using the Olympus provided download/integration software and then manipulated with MS Image Composer using the 'fine marker tool' (to mask the lack of crispness indicative of most digital cameras shooting motion).  They were then incorporated into MS FP 2000 authoring software and ftp'd to my server space via cable modem.

While the digital camera is a great tool it is really not suitable for action photography, as I found out.  The images I gathered, while asthetically pleasing, were nowhere near the sharpness yielded by my Nikon F3 with ED telephoto.  From this point forward I will continue to use my trusty Nikon and scan the slides to gain the highest resolution possible.   You live and learn!
