Once again I was allowed to leave Massachusetts to check out some sportscar racing in Florida.   The occasion this time was  the 12 Hours of Sebring in Sebring Florida.   This is the oldest endurance race in the States and what many consider to be the shake down for LeMans in June. The perfect place for two of the biggest manufacturers in Germany to duke it out for twelve grueling hours under the hot Central Florida sun.   No, not Porsche and Mercedes Benz!  Audi and BMW.  But wait..Audi doesn't have a sportscar team.  Well Scooter, they do now! Both Audi and BMW showed up with brand spanking new open top LMP (LeMans Prototype) cars to do battle.
As you can see by this photo, the weather was absolutely splendid and the crowd was a record: 100,000+!  Lemme tell you, it was frigging HOT at the track!
